Certain forms of disregulation in the human body can add up to a heart attack in the human body. No mystery that from the moment the heart stops the entire body begins to break down in a catastrophic hurry. The longer the heart stops the more permanent the damage of the original disregulation. Still we do not refer to the human system of physical regulation as a bad idea simply because all human beings eventually die without exception. We study the human body and and determine how to best draw out the strengths and reinforce the vulnerabilities for an extended life God or fate willing. People called medical professionals spend upwards of a third of their lives in a grueling course of study just to help understand how the physical systems of our bodies work, interact and how to correct the malfunctions. Fortunately we do not elect our Doctors.
This administration has talked about globalism as if it were simply another bad idea. The medical equivalent to our current leaderships treatment of the global world would be for a MD to treat heart disease by calling the diseased heart a bad idea, removing and dumping it in the trash and expecting an improvement in the health of the patient. For better or worse this globe and the planet have become a single patient seeking health care. The current wars in the middle east is in the process of bringing that inconvenient truth home. Running casinos and being an entertainer did not prepare our president for international policy any more than being a hobby carpenter prepares one to be an orthopedic surgeon. With this war, we are in the midst of a botched surgery in the globes economic systems, frozen in fear and indecision, and the critical clock is running on the entire life style of the globe’s population. We can be as angry as we want, but anger and rage won’t cure the patient called planet earth or eliminate globalism with its interdependent economic systems. We have to find a way forward and quickly.
Modest Proposal for Good
We are discovering we cannot help this planet and its economies recover without being wholistic and professional. We must accept global systems and interdependence as the system in place for the balance of the 21st century. We are a global community and the United States has always been a global nation. Hugely imperfect granted, but our technologies have spread across the face of planet earth like the next evolution of an emergent neurological system unifying a new body. To lead America in this world requires the intelligence, discipline and dedication of an excellent neurologist. Being POTUS is not a wood working hobby. Time to reconsider the resumes of the people you vote for. That would be good.
