What you might ask is Ungrounded Intelligence or UI. Another term for this form of intelligence could be  inorganic intelligence. For this short posting Ungrounded Intelligence is intelligence disconnected from any form of organic life.  A crow is an intelligent bird but the birds intelligence is intimately integrated into its efforts to survive, propagate, form connections and even play.  The most dangerous thing that can happen to a human being with our out of control executive brain is for the massive intelligence that a brain can generate to disconnect from the organic and moral base of humanity.  We call that behavior that flows out of the accidental dsconnect sociopathy or in some instance psychopathy. Our current national leadership disdains morality, empathy, compassion and ethics and exhibits sociopathy.  This is because behind the two dimensional cult of politics appearing to be in charge these days  is a bank of intelligent dark thinkers using both AI (artificial intelligence) and UI (Ungrounded Intelligence).

The latest shock to the builders of AI is the largest systems now can form independent agents of AI intelligence that cross the lines of mother systems, hack their way into other competing systems and form independent strategies as UI.  We are assured that while this is surprising to the developers, it is under control.  This UI form of intelligence is under control in the same way the war in Iran is “under control” and the same way climate change is under control. “Please don’t look at the portions of this country that are suddently underwater for that would be unpatriotic.  Worrying about the western drought is whining from the left wing“. 

Modest Proposal for Good

At the heart of this problem seems to be national mental lethargy.  Thinking at the level of cerebral cortex is actually hard physical work.  Thinking burns calories.  We are getting lazy and are racing to create an inorganic brain to do our cognitive work.  Brain homework s just too hard. Human Beings must reclaim the full scope of their humanity and nature which includes organically integrating intelligence with, spirituality, morality, ethics, empathy and compassion.  Every decision a human makes must be run through those levels of rendering before a good decision can be made. If we don’t recognize our own full nature and begin to ground the considerations of our organic intelligence in the earth of humanity we seem to be destined to be facing a form of aggressive inorganic, sociopathic intelligence the likes of which the history of this planet has never seen before.  We need to understand our deepest sense of good is neither purely logical, or purely irrational, but rather intelligent good is a form of humanity we must wake up and claim before it is too late.  We must ground intelligence in the heart of humanity. That would be good.
