It just might be time for those in Congress who have integrity to walk out and end any pretense that things are only just a little pressured in Washington.  The Constitutional authority of Congress is being violated almost daily, and somehow both parties sputter lightly and do the kindergarten finger thing of pointing out blame while collecting the wages for the  status of governance.  Tax payer money is being directly reallocated to pet projects by the President without Congressional approval.  DHS is funneling massive amounts of tax payer dollars as deportation bounty prizes to local Sheriff’s Departments for no significant production other than loyalty to one man’s immigration party line.  The President has instructed his staff to pilfer tax payer money to buy campaign adds for himself and allies.  The war in Iran is a one man project costing us and the world at all levels. Any impression Congress is anything but the President’s Strawman is a deception.  It is overtime for the balance of power to be restored in our government and the only way that will happen is probably going to have to be a walkout on this charade of a government. If it has to happen after the midterms, so be it.

The best way to demonstrate impotence is to be impotent, and Congress is doing a splendid job of both right now.  The Supreme Court, in its hair splitting decisions so far removed from Americas daily lives in the 21st century has created a Presidency that is not accountable to anyone but the apparent morality of one man; the President.  This is proving to be fatal to democracy.  We are living in unprecedented times.

Urgent Proposal for Good

Congress isn’t powerless as much as lacking the courage and potency to use the power the United States Constitution instructs they must use. What would the nation do if our Congress in a majority demonstration simply walked out and went home. Yes, the mindless henchmen would stay but they would be suddenly superfluous.  There are other options of course but it is time for action.  This is not our democracy and somehow that must be made clear.  That would be good.
