The most powerful nation in the world has been severed in two and has this week starting today to save itself from itself. A few mostly wealthy, powerful, rapacious, people have been listening to their worst angels and we, as a national and global force, are now nearly paralyzed by internal enmity. This is our day and this is ‘our land’. We the People are endowed by our beleaguered Consitution with the power to make good decisions and never has it been more critical to make good decisions.

This writer cannot predict the day’s outcome. Two years ago I spent election night mostly awake in shock wondering how we as a national community could survive the shock of the decisions we had just made. Future intuition (not prediction) has been my gift and I suspect curse. But I have decided and voted and that vote combined with two years of continuous writing toward the light (I hope) brings me and us to this day. What comes next is really in our national community’s hands, such as that community is.
