In a world uniquely focused on disfunction The Good Decision is collecting examples of matured good in poetry, narrative and illustrative art. This is the Gallery of Good. Your contributions would be appreciated.

The Chaotic joy of the Chicago

Faces
Thoughts are faces
before the face is.
Walking the streets
I see yesterday’s musings
fused over today’s face.
There are tense, leathery, judgements
Steeped in solemn rage
betrayed in service smiles
measured, launched then stored
for the next customer.
And there is also the
ten mile smile, deeply
ingrained, and hard wired
to a bonded memory
of life, love, and caring
that melted my own heart
right there on the
Dollar Store floor.

Advance your core purpose while helping to build a broader commonwealth.
Discover a world in which doing well and doing good go hand in hand, and expand that world’s horizons—through public work.
