This is about either creating your way out of trouble or lounging in the passive position of simply being for-against.  Creativity requires thought, courage, energy and concentration.  Being For-Againster only requires you oppose what the others are for.  Their “for” automatically becomes your “against”.  For the For-Againster, being against something is sufficient resistance.  And that pretty much sums up America in 2026. Democrats are happy to oppose Republicans, and Republicans cheerfully trash talk the Democrats as if that would solve anything and life is just another football game.   Liberals and Conservatives apparently exist to hate each other.  Youth are for youth and against age and the old folks can’t understand what happened to the youth. Name an issue and the For-Againsters line up in solidly passive compliance against each other. The problem with For-againsters is no matter what either side says they are essentially alike in they are missing the point of what the work that needs to be done in the de-cognicized zone separating them.  A “decognicized zone” (a term only six minutes old) is the inventory of serious problems people don’t want to even think about. 

True artists, true athletes and true statesmen accomplish their authenticity and integrity through creativity.  Creativity requires of  the creator sometimes painful discipline and the courage to enter into the human heart and mind of the problems before them.  They enter into relationship with the opposing forces and risk imperfection for the sake of resolution.  Personal greatness never enters their considerations for greatness is conferred by others and not assumed in the moment of creation by the creator.  Both Teddy and Franklin Roosevelt made great advances for America while at the same time each made at least one terrible decision in the course of their administrations. The error of the 21st century will come down to the For-Againsters and the current leaders who engineered the great American paralysis instead of facing the problems of our age.  We need creators who are not content to watch the Decognicized Zone fall into decay, but rather enter fearlessly into the heart of the human problems and conflicts with creativity.  That would be not only good, but essential for our survival.
