The Next Democracy

Given the critical times we are in this Project has proposed a very short, succinct body of language to re-introduce the idea of democracy to the 21st Century. We no longer can afford to compete for points on the scale of mutual hatred. We must find language that addresses the critical stress point of democracy in our world today. • Good and the Human Flaw

Exploding pagers and two way radios triggered these reflections but they are only the tipping point of a long history of concern. When your skin-close personal possessions and accessories suddenly are outed as potential weapons of war some kind of… Continue reading

  • Good, Certainty, Authority and the Popes

The Good Decision Project asks practitioners to identify and begin the work of decision making from a continuously evolving and maturing, individual “Sense of Good”.  The global internet has shown the expression of religion to be vastly diverse and we… Continue reading

  • Good and the Facade of Character

I am doing some business in Chicago and I have been passing by the remodeling of a ‘building-of-old-character’ as I walk each morning. I have included a picture of the reinforced facade, that hides the fact that the entire building… Continue reading

  • Good and Good’s Pruning

This Good Decision Project has been occasionally criticized for its nearly singular focus on the word “Good”.  The criticism suggests such a focus ignores what is bad, evil or just uncomfortable in this world.  I have found just the opposite… Continue reading

  • Good, Revenge, and Retribution

As my sense of good evolved and matured it came to me that revenge and retribution are great ways to carve away at your future assigning mortgages on the attention and intention of your aspirations. Which is why I can’t… Continue reading

  • Good, Right, and Beyond the Vote

My decision for the top of the ticket for this election is made and it isn’t even a close call. Presumably I should settle back into the easy chair of identity and marinate in a quiet consoling rage as I… Continue reading

  • Good, Identity, and Nationalism

Senator Christopher Murphy of Connecticut was recently highlighted In a New York Times article because he has been warning the right and the left leaning portions of both parties that there may be a deeper component to the current American… Continue reading

  • Good, Extremism, and the Radical

The frequent blending of the terms extremist and radical makes no sense to me.  I do not believe an extremist of any persuasion can be radical.  To take an extreme view implies an equally extreme reduction of the scope of… Continue reading
